The nature of the Certificate means the course can be run in a local setting where there is sufficient interest. It is normally hosted by a church wanting some members to be significantly enabled to outreach to drug abusers and their families. It can usefully feature alongside seminar awareness type training for others in the church.

The cost of the Course (about £1100) is considerable subsidised from donation income. It includes all materials, administration and University registration and validation fees. Churches often pay for students and funding might be available from government agencies. The Trust has a small bursary fund.
