LFTW - the story begins here ...
LFTW (Life For The World Trust) was founded 42 years ago and since that time we have helped many hundreds of people in the UK and other parts of the world to be set free from addictions.
Initially we did this through running rehabilitation centres and ‘follow on’ houses where we witnessed many ‘miracles’ in lives damaged by addictions. However we found that we could be more effective through training and supporting local churches and community projects.
This work of equipping the church has led to the development of our professional training courses. All LFTW courses have a clear Christain foundation, and they are also in-line with professional standards and in the case of our Certificate Course has University validation. This training and support ministry has extended into Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union and into South East Asia.
Today we are continually seeking to develop and improve our training, especially the ‘hands on’ components, so that those we teach can be more effective workers and volunteers. Our vision is to see individuals, families and even communities transformed as a result of our work.
