Trustees

Occasionally an opportunity arises for someone to become a trustee of Life For The World. This is an exciting task, helping to input into the overall direction of a small yet dynamic charity. Contact us if you feel you may have what it takes to be a trustee.

We asked two of our trustees for soundbites about their role and their thoughts on being a trustee :

"Having seen the effect that addiction has on the addict, their family and their friends, being a trustee with Life For The World provides me with the opportunity to work with others and put our faith into action.  To receive letters from people saying how the Trust had helped them makes it worthwhile - wow even I can make a difference!!!" 

"I became involved with Life For The World when one of my children got heavily into drugs and actually asked us to help him in getting ‘clean’. This experience opened up for me the whole underworld of dealers and addicts, and made me realise that there is so much ignorance about it.  I’ve now learnt so much and through being a trustee for Life For The World, am trying to help ordinary people understand how addiction comes about and how it ruins lives, but more importantly, how those trapped in it can be helped to find release and healing from their past".  

Advocates

We are constantly on the look out for people who will promote the work of the Trust, either through getting to know us and speaking at events and conferences, or just simply promoting our work amongst friends and family. Contact us for further details.

Associate Trainers

Due to the nature of our work throughout England, we need to have a team of trainers for different events and seminars.  We offer payment for training with LFTW, depending on the particular course or seminar which is being delivered.  In order to be a trainer with LFTW, you need to fulfill the three criteria listed below

Experience of working in the drugs and addictions fields
Experience of training and delivering seminars
A personal Christian faith
